Contest winner

Well after some delay ( sorry ^^ ;  )  the winner is :

for Butterfly EffectIt was hard not to stare.  The thing was crouched only a few yards away, snarling through rows of razor-sharp teeth, clashing and tearing at the metal bars of its cage with wiry, too-long limbs and fingers that more resembled talons.  Its hairless, leather-like skin was a patchy red and brown, crisscrossed with tears and lacerations that revealed cords of sinewy muscles working underneath.  A long, grotesque tongue slavered and lashed from toothy jaws, dull red eyes sunken and filled with a mindless, burning hatred for all that lived.  It was hard not to stare . . . or imagine it was the freaking bait on this expedition.
Talmira only tore her eyes away when she got the go-ahead, stepping forward through the huge, shimmering gate with only a moment's hesitation.  The cool, dry air of the underground compound was replaced by heat and humidity, dense green foliage filling her vision.  She and her partner Tsirom both had ri  

Butterfly effect is a great story, really well written and with descriptions that easily pull the reader in along the characters for what will be a pretty rough ride ! The setting behind it is pretty clever as well with an use for a certain Felaryan critter that is original but definitely make sense XP
